Problem Note 39444: Initial invocation of SAS® Digital Marketing server fails with a "Fichier de licence.." error when the software is installed under a French locale

When you install SAS Digital Marketing under a French locale, the initial invocation of the SAS Digital Marketing server fails with the following error message:
ERROR: Fichier de licence de SAS Digital Marketing Server introuvable. log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (com.sas.services.deployment.DeploymentApplicationMonitor). log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unmatched braces in the pattern. at java.text.MessageFormat.applyPattern(Unknown Source) at java.text.MessageFormat.(Unknown Source)
To circumvent this problem, install and configure SAS® software with SAS® Deployment Wizard by following these steps:
- Run the SAS Deployment Wizard in install mode.
- Locate the SAS Versioned Jar Repository. For Windows environments, the default location is C:\Program Files\SAS\SASVersionedJarRepository\9.2\eclipse\plugins. Use either the WinZip utility or the WinRAR utility to open sas.svc.core.nls_902200.12.0.20090805190000_v920m2\sas.svc.core.nls.jar.
- Inside the JAR file, delete the Resources_fr.properties file in the com\sas\services\discovery subfolder. Then re-save the JAR file.
- Rerun SAS Deployment Wizard in configuration mode to finish the deployment.
